VW Beetle Classic

As far as iconic, recognizable cars go, few are able to match the VW Beetle. Its changed very little from the late 1930s when it was first conceived up until 2004 when it went out of production in Mexico.

Its shape is unmistakable, and even if it didn’t represent a huge leap forward in technology or design (some say it was copied from an older Czech Tatra car), it was still hugely popular. And it wasn’t just in Germany that it appealed to the public, as it also made quite a splash in other parts of the world, at first in North America, then Central and South America too.

XCar made a great video detailing the Beetle’s history. It’s posted below!
