Subaru Impreza WRX

The latest generation Subaru Impreza WRX is a deeply oldschool car. It’s an oddball offering that still comes with hydraulic power steering and relies on its mechanicals to impress rather than its design or sheer quality.

For some, that may be a turnoff, especially since you can now buy various Audi models (among others) that offer the same bag for a little more buck, while at the same time cosseting you inside.

Even so, for those few for whom the softness of the dashboard plastics is not important, and what matters is on-road capability, CarThrottle says it’s a sure winner – they should have kept the unequal length headers that the old model had – these gave the unique rumbly sound signature that the Subaru boxer was famous for.
