Renault Grand Scenic

The Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic models have been around since 2009, and now, courtesy of the third facelift they’ve been subjected to, they’re still both battling it out with the more modern metal other manufacturers have released in the meantime. Carbuyer recently tried out the seven seater Grand Scenic, and found it to still be competent, in spite of some obvious age-related defects.

Firstly, it cannot be specced  up with active crash-culling safety tech, which some of its rivals already offer, and the general look of the vehicle, both inside and out, is a bit dated. It’s still a contender, though, and worth a look, especially since it went on sale with the new 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine that’s reportedly really good.
