Peugeot 308 SW

An average car from a keen driver’s standpoint, the Peugeot 308 hatchback still managed to convince the judges of the European Car of the Year competiton 2014 that it is worthy of the highest spot on the annual podium. However, as this Which? review points out, there are a few fairly recent examples of cars that gained the distinction but eventually failed to leave their mark in the long-term.

In SW (estate/wagon) form, the 308 promises one of the most cavernous boots in its class, capable of swallowing up 660 liters-worth of things. Factoring in the efficient new turbocharged engines it comes with and the (subjectively) sleek look and one could justify buying one of these over its more commendable rivals.
