BMW i8


The BMW i8 is clearly not as sporty to drive as its looks would have you believe. Yes, it steers and stops very well, but CarBuyer says it’s really more GT-like handling than ultimate sharpness.

That’s not a bad thing, though, as for daily use the former is preferable. Reviewer Mat Watson says that for driving in town, the i8 is better than any of its rivals because a) it shoots off the line and accelerates very quickly and b) because it can run in all-electric mode for what BMW says is over 30 km.

Some may dislike the fake engine noise being pumped into the cabin, though, and the fact that the back seats are really only suitable for small children… or big bags.
